This was made on July 2nd, the first day this months moon was visible to us. I am always amazed at how each moon has its own unique lighting available in the sky. This one was quite alluring when I made it. If you would like to see a larger version visit the blog and click on the smaller image in the post.

Your feed back on this one appreciated.

I like the idea of this very much.. there is just enough detail in the tree. the sliver of moon is very attractive. On the down side, some serious sensor spots and aggressive sharpening. (given the size of the spots, I suspect this is quite a crop too.) great tones

I'm actually more amazed at your ability to capture it so consistently. What a great series.

Every time I see a crescent moon I wish I could photograph it, but I rarely get the chance. I really like the simplicity of this. Nicely done.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't know why I did not see the spots. Here is the repost. This is nearly full frame, I mad a small crop from right and top just for composition reasons.

This is not the first time I see one of your images depicting this subject...I love it. The gradient of colour is absolutely gorgeous, and the frame given by the tree really makes the depth and the colours stand up! Love it, Youssef

Still alluring! Great job Youssef! :toast:

On Firefox and a calibrated wide gamut monitor it looks a little under saturated.

Mark,

I convert all images destined for the web to sRGB in PS before saving. It shoiuld be tagged with sRGB and really should not look any different on than what I see. The image looks the same to me in PS on my calibrated monitor as it does in Chrome or Safari or Firefox on a standard gamut monitor.
