Mossy Creek

This is a small unnamed stream that cascades down next to Newfound Gap Road on the NC side of the Smokey Mountains. A good name might be Stinging Nettle Falls because they were growing all around it.

Canon 7D, Tamron 17-50 @17mm, f/8, 1.6 sec

I did very little editing on this image. Lens correction, tuned up the highlights a little, turned down the greens and added a vignette.

Pretty lovely, intimate little scene. Looks like some motion blur on leaves up top and might want to move the stick bottom left next time but otherwise processing looks solid. Nice feel to this :)

I like the colors very much Richard and I agree with Aaron about the twig in the LLC. Pretty, little, intimate scene.

I'm in agreement with the former fellows of authority!

I think the image is a nice scene well processed. Greens look good to me. :toast:

the only thing I wonder about is scale? Is this a 3 inch or a 30 foot waterfall?

Beautiful, intimate landscape. The greens are so refreshing and when combined with the silky water make this feel so refreshing.

Seems more likeable than Stinging Nettle Falls might convey. Would've it been possible to remove the twig in the LLC. Just a minor distraction.

Lovely intimate. The vivid colours are wonderful in this neatly composed landscape.

I think the greens and the blur of the water are just right. This really gives the feeling of the Smokies.

Wonderful image. I agree about the stick, but that's minor. The lush greens and beautiful falls are more than enough to hold my attention. :toast:
