Touching down
by Wayne Jones
I got several perfectly steady shots of this Halloween Pennant, but I liked the action of the blurred wings in this one, just as it was flying in to land. (I was shooting flight shots -- which are all very blurry -- of it approaching the roost, so this is only about 1/4 of the frame. However, I think it looks OK after noise reducton.)

5 commentsThereis still a lot of noise evident around the edges of the DF - head and legs especially.
Your usual work sets the bar very high - so, by comparison, this suffers a bit!

Great BG that compliments also..I especially like the wing patterns of this species, hope I spot it one day
This image is fine and the noise is not obvious at all. Lovely action shot. I like taking them in flight as well but the success rate is quite low for me. The DF is real handsome and the bg is sweet.
