Purple Haze - RE_POST

This is my second attempt at the cramming technique. This time I used the Campanulas in the back yard. The only post processing was to crop out some unwanted clutter on the bottom right of the original.

I'd love to hear any comments and suggestions.

Cheers!

Beautiful image Steve. I might crop a little from the top and viewer's left to put more emphasis on the bloom but that's entirely subjective. Very nice wash in this and I love the mood of it.

I like this alot....it's sharp where it needs to be yet the overall soft feel is very nice. My only suggestion would be to lighten the dark area that is along the left border as it does tend to draw the eye (mine at least) away from the main subject.

Hi Steve :wavey: Beautifully composed, with dreamy like color and detail. agree with Mark about the dark area on the LL. But still a great shot

Very lovely - soft colours with just enough detail to keep interest.
I agree with Pat's crop suggestions - just a small improvement on an already-excellent image. fine work!

It looks like this was shot in a fog. It has an element of mystery to it.

Steve, Great use of the cram technique (thanks to Nathan I learned it). The dark patch on the left is not overly bothersome for me. I also like the selective focus for the three pronged stamen/pistil whatever that is called.

Nice work

This re-post crops some off the top and left side as kindly suggested. Thank you everyone for your very nice comments.

Agree with Pat, love the mood and some crop would enhance it even more. However, it's a personal choice. :toast:

Love the mood of serenity here, Steve - you've done a great job with your cramming ! The colour is great, too; my only nit is what look like a pair of soft diagonals on the L - if that area were darkened a bit or destructured I feel the flower would have even better presence. Just a thought - it's a lovely image whatever.

What a neat image Steve. I do prefer the re-post, and like the total effect you've achieved. Wonderful feel to this.

Steve: I'm a little late to the party but this is excellent to begin with and the repost is even better. Well done.>=))>
