Why do shots like this come along only in the winter when the wind is blowing? Dec 9 2009
Nikon D300
18-200mm zoom
18mm
F/5.6
Manual exposure
Multi pattern metering

I added the pink color by sliding the color bar to magenta a bit.

Hi Shirley, that's one heck of a great sunset you caught here! Sometimes when you see something like this there's just no time to get to a spot that you know will work well so you just have to make do with where you are, and that seems to be the case here. Usually a simple silhouette works best on those occasions, as you have rendered very effectively here. I would definitely clone out the power lines to avoid distractions.

Wow that is some great sky! I agree with Marc about cloning the power lines, and may crop off some of the black space on the bottom.

Gorgeous sky I agree with the comments about the power line. I also think that I might crop the bottom clear to the top of the fence that is barely visible at the bottom.

Awesome sky! Silhouettes seem a bit distracting.
