Orange Monarch Baroque

This is a rework of a previous post. The original is still in my gallery if you wish to compare. If you're using IE this probably looks oversaturated, the reds especially. If you're on Firefox or another color managed browser and it looks overdone please let me know. I'm still tweaking calibration targets on the new monitor.

Larger version included, thanks for looking.

Stunning is the word. The colors of the flowers are superbly rich without being overdone or oversaturated, in my opinion, and the detail and texture are wonderful.

I really like the composition you've achieved with this Bruce. Great separation done with colors and light yet showing great detail in subject and background.

Stunning is the word for these flowers! Great color against the dark BG. I like your comp but to me it feels like it needs just a little more room on the bottom of the picture.

Thanks all.
Carolyn-I agree but more room at the bottom would have meant a large, OOF bloom would have been only partially in the frame. I felt it was too big an area to clone out. Maybe I should try the Content Aware Fill tool in CS5?

Almost looks as if the Tulips are made from metal here. Looks like a metal week on NPN - so many photos with metallic textures and tones this week. Dark background works well here with hints of green leaves here and there
