Thanks for the compliment on this. The yellows I've worked with this summer have been about twice the size of the purple ones and this one. I'd say the throat diameter is larger than a quarter - maybe 1.5 times the diameter. This is a small calla though compared to the yellows I've tried to shoot. So far, based on what I've seen the smaller ones tend to have more interesting shapes. Terri brought this one in from the grocery store and the pot had a few purples in it as well.

Well worth waiting for this one. The shape and curves are so fascinating. The lighting here is just sublime. Details of texture is incredible. Look to see the triptych when you have assemble it.
Are the petals slightly bluish or is there some bluish light reflected of the white surface?
Gary,
There's about a 12 point blue cast in the room I'm using as a studio. I don't know for sure if it's from the window glass or the skylight glass. I usually like it and just tend to leave it in the image and did here. To my eye it makes the yellows a little greener but mostly, it makes the whites pop a little more I think. If I remove it in this image, the petals take on a greyish cast and since the blue is what I'm actually seeing anyway I prefer it to the adjusted grey. I did adjust the yellow in the calyx for it.

The POV and lighting are superb, as usual!
