My Piece of Heaven

In this field of mountain sunflowers there were small standing stalks of red flowers. This area contained the reddest of them all. As the storm was moving through the colors popped even more and the light became sublime. The Centennial mountains straddle the border of Montana and Idaho and are a favorite.

Appreciate any comment you may have. Thanks for taking the time.

Disclousure: Cows are aften grazing in this area. I removed a few fenceposts from the image.

Larger image much better.

Wow, Dean. One of your best I'd say. Colorful and dramatic!

Larger version looks like a poster. Very nice. Image seems to have a be CCW tilt, but mountainous terrain can sometimes do that.

This is pretty much what nature photography is all about. The flowers really give this image some life and the clouds add drama. A wonderful location that you made the most of here.

Woohoo! As you probably know, my kind of photo. Another stellar shot to add to your amazing portfolio Dean; I love everything about this. (We are so spoiled when it comes to flower displays here in the west.)

The interplay of red and yellow flowers in the foreground really pulls my eye into this wonderful scene. The mix of shadow and sunlight on the mountains also adds some drama.

Great! Those vertical red heads in the sea of yelllow are very catching, along with the stormy clouds and splotches of light on the mountain. Maybe bring down the brightness of the cloud in the ulc would be my only suggestion.

Nice, classic comp with lots of good stuff to look at. Since you went and cloned out the fence posts, why not also clone out that road in the distance?

What a wide range of colours on show here. The moody blue sky probably works better than a colourful one would have. The warm light on the mountains is the icing on a superb foreground.

Great to see you posting again Dean. The mountains have just enough snow on them to make the scene extra special. A gorgeous scene.

A beautiful view, Dean. I love your low angle to the field of flowers. The red and yellow work very well together, and the stormy skies offer lots of mood and great light. Love the clarity and color, although the bg mountains seem just a little soft. Great shot!

This is stunning, Dean. Love how that lovely warm light touching the mountains complements that amazing field of yellow flowers, and the red flowers add a wonderful contrasting color. Those clouds are awesome too. This had to be an incredible experience.
