Aperture priority
f/9
ISO 400
Focal length 232 mm

I like the tall stalk so didn't crop to emphasize the top with the bees more. Feedback on that and anything else would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Interesting decision to present this as a vertical pano. I think you have options, but I do think this works well, especially in the larger version where the insects are more noticeable. I certainly like the insects. Nice capture. Excellent nature shot all in all.

Barbara:
I am pleasantly surprised by the critters which adds a lot of interest to this bloom. The bg looks great. Very good photography.

Pleasing colors and I like the bug. Excellent supporting bg and separation as well. A fine image as posted. I might consider a vertical pano crop on this one but just as an alternative not an improvement.

Barbara, I made a similar photo with two stems of the Liatris last weekend  . Looks pretty good to me with that slight slant, clean background and a few blooms at the tip

This is quite elegant with the long stalk and subtle bg. The insects are a nice topper.

Learning about increasing the blacks, wondering if you see a difference in this one and if it's better. Thank you.
