I really like how the color of the sky is very similar to the color of the rock. Nicely seen.

Lovely textures upfront and I like the depth in this. I would probably try to give the sky a bit more punch

Nice to see some photos from this part of the country. Great lead in and perspective. And a nice pastel sunset to boot, very cool.

Navin,

I missed your first entry so I'd like to welcome you to NPN and the Landscape Gallery. Both of these first two images are great first entries to the gallery. This one here has caused me to take a double-look because it's almost an optical illusion for me in that it's hard for me to tell which way the flow is going. And of course not being familiar with the location doesn't help. But then, it only takes a moment to get my bearings and I figured it out. ;-)

I really like how the soft magenta colors are echoed between the sky and the rocks. The sky/clouds is very complimentary to the overall image. The clean whites of the water tell me there isn't any global color cast, otherwise I might suggest some color changes (very minor). And excellent capture.

As a side note and reminder, max image size is 720px on the long end. I see you've linked to a static Flikr image, which is fine, but please keep the main image to 720px. A larger 1200px image can be uploaded, but you'll need to use that option when posting the original images and selecting the upload option. Hope this makes sense and thanks!

Lon

BIG picture. Had to F11 it to get it all on my monitor. The blend looks really good with the balance of light allowing all elements to receive some attention. Agree with Morkel that experimenting with the sky to maybe increase saturation/texture might be worth a try.

Great textures and leading lines. I love the way water makes its way through the rock. I find the sky a little bit dark compared to the foreground. In any case this image works really well :toast:

Lovely shot of this section of the falls. The flow of the rocks and the flow of the water work very well together. There is a decidedly pink cast to the rocks that may be a reflection of the sky.

thanks, everyone for the comments and suggestions. apologies for the image size exceeding the standards; i'll make sure to address that going forward.

@lon, do you suggest that I add a similar pinkish cast to the water?

here is an updated version that adds a bit of definition to the clouds, and lightens the slight vingette. as usual its tough to paint around tree limbs...

I welcome your thoughts!
