Island in the Sky

Ocean Point Boothbay, Maine. Although we have been going to Boothbay for many years and have a place on the other side of town this was the first time I caught sunrise at Ocean Point (sun behind me). Don't know why it took me until 2008 to discover this place. I now try and get here whenever I can at sunrise and sunset (great place 2 miles up the road for sunset). Thanks for looking and for any comments and critiques.

Me too, Eva. Composition and focus is outstanding and the haze gave you a wonderful suspended look to the island.

Eva, This is beautiful. Fantastic light, color and comp. The detail you have looks awesome, especially in large version which is really nice! Excellent shot!

Gorgeous light, colour and patterns Eva - looks a wonderful place to spend some time. There's a part of me that wonders whether it would be nice to have a little more of those lovely foreground rocks but that might just be me and rocks ;-)

I love how the rocks are scattered on the shore, the patterns and the pools in the rocks are enchanting. It looks like a great place to play! Fantastic color and composition. Great job!

This is my idea of perfection. Every part of this image is interesting, and the light falls perfectly on the island to draw our attention to it through the beautiful mist. I can't think of a way to improve it.

This is terrific, Eva! I really like the how the foreground details lead my eyes to the island and the triangle of major elements (bright clouds, island, and rock slabs).
