This is an Ash-throated Flycatcher from earlier this summer. I liked the inquisitive look it gave me.

I appreciate your critiques and comments. Please view the larger version if possible.

Neat shot. I'm not used to seeing this species out in such a clean setting. Interesting light and overall color.

Delightful - great pose and expression, fine detail, nice perch and BG.
Might be even better if the perch were selectively darkened a bit.
well-done!

Brian,

I like the inquistive look you seem to be getting from the flycatcher too, love the tilted head and eye contact. I like the overall warm tones of this image, the comp you used, sharpness and the details. This appeals to me a lot.

Lovely light Brian. I'm glad I don't have to id these flycatchers. Great detail in the larger image

I always like shots like this where the background is so complimentary to the colors of the bird itself. So cool...

Great DOF and sharp details Brian, I like the inquisitive look as well..
Nice job with the bright Arizona sunlight, it's well exposed and the colors look natural.

Brian, I really like the slight tilt of the head and the similar colors throughout. The larger version shows nice detail and I enjoy the clean look at the bird. Well done.

Wonderful image of a bird that I find is not easily approachable in the desert behind our place. Nice job getting this shot in what looks like very bright light, the head turn and look really make this shot, along with the perch and background, well done.
