Many Glacier w/REPOST

Large version included.

I went up to Glacier NP for a day and a half while we were visiting my parents in Helena, MT. I think the Many Glacier area is my favorite part of the park so far. I'm already planning to head back when we visit next time.

C&C welcomed and put to use.

An epic view in great light and conditions. It seems to me that the grad line is visible, but this can be fixed. Anyway, a very beautiful shot of a beautiful landscape.

Dietrich, I didn't use a grad, but I can see why it appears that way. The dark areas on the mountains are from cloud shadow and the sky looks a bit funky from some sloppy pp (it may have been the bottle of wine  ). In this version, I tried to lighten the shadow on the mountains and I also used the sky from a bracketed image so I didn't have to push the exposure limits of the single file. I think this version works much better. Thanks for the comment.

The repost is much better then the original. The original looks to have a slight ccw tilt that the repost does not. did you straighten it a little or is it my imagination.

Michael, yes, I straighted it...the tilt was another effect of the wine. I should stick to beer.

I know that view well. The second post looks great! The lighting is what really makes this work.

A wonderful landscape image. There is no other place quite as grand as Glacier in the lower 48 imo. I do like the repost a bit better.

Very nice Joseph, Many Glaciers is a beautiful area to explore, and this shot serves it well. You've captured some wonderful light and I really enjoy the comp. I too like the 2nd version with the wine removed... ;)
