This one walked straight past one of my pool hides. Never yet got one drinking- even in this exceptionally dry spell.
D200 Sigma50-500 mm
500 ISO 250th @f8
Slight crop. Levels /Histogram adjust. Late afternoon
Not baited.
Cheers
Tanks for all your comments on my previous pics - much appreciated.

IMHO you have captured this very pretty fox just right! I like the look on its face, the pose it is in and the habitat around it. Well done. Thanks for sharing.

Very sharp image amid some lovely flowers. The larger photo is particularly impressive.

Well done John. Nice eye contact, he's looking at the photographer but doesn't seem perturbed by your presence. I get the impression that you may have applied some blur in places, am I correct?

John, your image appears to be RGB. To get a more reflective colour from your file you should convert the Colour space to sRGB prior to posting on the web. I am sure you know this.

Still a nice image of a great character.

Absolutely gorgeous John with all those surrounding flowers. The clarity of those big eyes really are the focal point of this image. The only thing I find a bit unfortunate is the green stem 'growing' out its head as well as the few white flowers just above its rear. A wider aperture could have reduced this effect, but of course it would have had a negative effect on the rest of the flower habitat; always a trade-off...

Thanks all.
Steve- the default in the two PSP programs I use is sRGB which is how I have posted the previous several hundred shots so far. I have never shot (in camera ) anything other than sRGB.
PSP7 does not save exif info as default and I have never really needed it.
I cannot understand what has happened and I am confused as to how you can download the info as I cannot even do it on my own PC !! and cannot download pics off this site. If the programme I use does not save the EXIF then I assume the programme you have used will record it as just RGB because it hasn't recorded a tab. Several friends have been trying to sort this out and are as confused as I am. !! I have one shot from the sequence prior to the shot posted and I did not adjust it in any way. It comes up as sRGB so there would be no way any settings could have changed using multi shot.
Anyway at the end of the day I take pics and and am not really a computer wiz.
Cheers

John, the small thumb nail is looked, but the larger image can easily be copied to the desktop (drag & drop) which kind of doesn't make sense and means it can be easily abused. Makes sense to keep to the old way of only the 720 image and NOT to post a bigger file for viewing & critique. Obviously in a drag & drop it must convert the Colour profile as if you go to Get info this is what is shown, confused too?

Hey ho

John, Steve is right about the fact that you can drag and drop the 1200 px image, but really even if that would not be the case ANYTHING that shows up on a computer screen can be captured and saved. Don't let this discourage you to post large images as they help so much when it comes to critiquing an image. And personally I think having the large image option is one of the best changes NPN has shown in the recent years. What I would recommend is to use a watermark more prominent than you have now in your larger image. Look at how I do it in the larger images for example. I know others do it in a similar way.

By the way your image is indeed 'untagged', it is better to convert the image you post to sRGB color profile before posting.

Vincent. The image may be untagged because PSP does not save the exifg info, but the default setting in PSP 7 is sRGB any way, and it cannot be changed.
All the several hundred images I have posted over the years have been done in exactly the same way and this is the first time this has come up ! The cameras are permanaently on sRGB too !! If the image had not been looked at with whatever software was used - would it have made that much difference or would any one have noticed ?
I am very confused.

John, I am not a software expert either; to me your image looks good as is, I just noticed as well that it does not show as sRGB. If the original looks the same on a Wide gamut screen there is no issue.
