Time to get out there in the field again, but it's just been so hot here in NC. I took a drive to the Biltmore Estate to see their mile-long rows of sunflowers as most of them are in full bloom. I tried to capture the long rows, but the heat just about did me in. So, I walked a few rows and looked for something interesting and found this sunflower with the bee on the back side.

The image was enhanced in Viveza and Topaz Simplify-Painting Oil to bring out the lovely colors. Gotta love these sunflowers!

Comments always greatly appreciated. Stay cool out there.

Your treatment does a great job on this flower. I like your composition choices but would like to see a bit more space on the right.

I don't know, this looks almost real to me and not at all that artified. I really like the way the elements fill the frame.

Thanks Mark and Tony. Sometimes I like to keep the changes subtle and I think for this image it worked well. Here is the original image to compare the two. Thanks again for your comments. I appreciate them very much.

Very pleasing results Barbara. I like the strong saturation. Could possibly use a bit more brightness but not much.

Thanks for the tip David. I reworked the original and brightened it up a bit. I like it.
