I did not change the light at all, and the light and the form of the tree and the grass on the hill are the things I love about this image. As you can probably see, I couldn't make this image work as a regular image because of the background, but I kept coming back to it, and every time I saw it it made me happy. So finally tonight I tried this, and for me this works as Photo Art, and it makes me happy, too. :) All feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Barbara, the shape of this tree growing out of the hillside is really nice and I can see why you kept coming back to it. You have the tree very nicely composed in the scene. I am disturbed a little bit by the purple dirt(?) area in the lower left corner only because it takes attention away from the tree. If you could make that look less purpleish and more brownish, it would blend in better with the scene and then I think you would have a really terrific piece of photo art.

I agree completely with Carol's comments, a really nice tree and Simplify focuses the interest on that tree. The purple (I'm guessing road) is a distraction.

As is, I love this too, Barbara. The shadowing of the leaves and tree upon the ground have come out so great. This is a **real** winner in my opinion.

Barbara, I like this image as it is. I like the morning light on the branches. And the blue color of the sky through the green leaves. But, these are not the only good thing about this photo; The best thing about this image is that you LOVE it, and it makes you happy. What else do we want from a photo??

LOVE this. Indeed it gives a happy feeling. I noticed the purple, too, but think it just needs to be lightened a little; the color provides an important snippet of cheer and is seen in other tones throughout the image. This is just a wonderful example of photo art. Congratulations, Barbara, on the EP!
