The Great Grey Shuffle

This great grey owl stared at me as it shook its feathers violently - suggesting a swing or shuffle type dance. The image was taken in West Bragg Creek, Alberta, Canada along one of the back roads that reach into Kananaskis.

Very interesting image that took me a while to get a handle on. The blurred motion of the body plays tricks on my eyes, and it was only after reading your description that things made sense. I think the background really compliments the owl. The sharp head, and especially the eyes, really grab my attention. I guess for me, the blurred motion is a bit of a distraction. Just one opinion and I'm interested in hearing what others think.

Very cool image, Christopher. I especially like the tuft of feathers flying.

Love those eyes and I agree with Dennis about the flyiong feathers. I think they add to the picture.
