This is one of many images shot on a recent photography/fly fishing trip to the Northern Sierra. D300, 28-70 3.5-4.5. 1 sec., F18, -.03 EV compensation, ISO 1EV under 200, polarizer, tripod. All comments and criticism welcome.

Welcome to NPN! Technically well done. Composition wise, I feel it is at an awkward stage, too small for landscape and too wide for closeup. I like the water flow very much and the cool greenery, but there is nothing to direct and hold the eye.

Excellent first post. Keep'em coming!

The blur of the water is good, but I do agree with Phil's comments.

Love the greenery mixed with the whites of the creek. Action just right. Beautiful shot. Welcome to NPN.

Nice first post Jim. I don't quite agree with the others about the comp. The dynamic water movement keeps me interested. I think a slight crop from the top to about that first rock would make this a bit more cohesive.

I like the framing plants, maybe wishing there were a few more.
