Twilight Mooring

I shot this on a recent pond-hopping camping trip in the Saint Regis Canoe Area of the Adirondacks. It's a single exposure, but I double-processed it in ACR to hand-blend a darker sky and reflection.

Canon 50D
Sigma 17-70
1/6 sec. @ f/11; ISO 200
Tripod; release

ADDENDUM: I just saw the thumbnail, and realized that this is one of those dark images that just does not show up in a thumbnail, so I don't think many people will click on this. Even so, I am not going to change the mood of the photo to make the thumbnail attractive. Is there another solution for this problem?

Hey Wayne, I really like this shot. It is peaceful and quiet and makes me want to be there with a cold drink enjoying the moment. I think the fishing poles with lures add a nice vertical touch to a basically otherwise horizontal shot. Very well done. In response to your concern re: folks not clicking on the thumbnail - that will be their misfortune.

Gorgeous light and reflection Wayne. I also like the lines of light on the horizon and bottom of the boat. Fantastic mood. I can imagine myself sitting on the shore gazing at this tranquil scene.

Great scene and ditto light and reflections. Two nits: I don't like the front and the back of the canoe touching the horizon line and the highlights in the sky look a bit too hot. If this were mine, I would clone out the vegetation sticking into the frame at the upper right corner.
