Country lane

Gallery: Man & NaturePosted August 7, 2011149 views5 comments
This is the lane down to my place in the forest. Nothing special but I came in the other night and the last of the evening sun was blinding me.. So I took one of my rare landscapes. Typically English ??
Lost the exif, but D7000 and Sigma 50 mm wide.
Levels.
About full frame.
Cheers

Nice lane. "Typically English" and similarly Oregon. Glad you branched out, John.

A very lovely image John. I love the light at this time of day and how it back lights the leaves. No real critique here other than to say I'm wishing for a bit more of the road to get more of a curve, but that's not a big deal.

Speaking of the road however, I'm going to go ahead and move this to the Man & Nature gallery. Hope you understand and if you have any comments/questions don't hesitate to send us a note.

Love the back lit greenery John! It always adds another dimension to a scene. Beautiful.

Lovely scene, indeed. The light and shade give this a wonderful depth and your exposure preserved that highlights and shadows beautifully. I studied this, trying to imagine what is "Typically English" about it, and I think it must be the neatness of the driving surface. There are many similar scenes where I live, but most of them have bumpy, unpaved roads. This gives the impression that someone appreciates and cares for that lane.
