Moonset-Sunset

Not sure about this. It isn't often, I would think, that conditions are just right to see the moon set just after the sun sets. At least for me, that makes the shot interesting.

Photo shown with only some sharpening of the moon.

Allen, I have a mixed reaction. On the one hand, its a pretty scene, i think the orange sky is complimentary, and im a sucker for crescent moons so i like the subject. On the other hand, ive seen so many shots of crescent moons that i have big expectations, it takes something extraordinary to really grab me. So i think this would work best as part of a series or in a group of photos with a theme. Nice though!

That's a lovely big crescent moon and the sky colors are very complementary. It works well as a minimalist presentation.

It actually happens twice a year, for two or three days in a row. I like the image. In particular, I'm glad you included the silhouetted hills. They're excellent against the sky color. I wonder if a vertical comp would add impact? But then you'd lose the wispy clouds on the right. Very nice as is.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't know this only happens twice a year, so I guess it is an unusual sighting given the odds (at least where I live) of a cloudy day when the event occurs.

Lovely colors and I am always a sucker for moon shots.
Weather permitting you can actually see this for a couple of days after every new moon, which happens twelve or thirteen times a year depending on the calendar, and you can do the same with sunrise a few days before every new moon the same amount of times a year.
