Oak leaf between links of old, rusty, chain.
Large view.
If you have critiques or comment I will really appreciate it on this old favorite of mine.

It is an interesting image with an abstract feel to it. I am just not sure about the nature part of it.

Richard there is not alot of nature, granted. It would be interesting to me if most feel that there is not enough to qualify as M & N.

The main subject does not need to be the largest element in the shot imo, and for me the main subject is that leaf.
I like the contrast between the heavy chain and the fragile leaf, and the similarities in color. I do wish all the other leaves were not there, and I would definitely have removed them from the scene to strengthen the conceptual part of the shot and have less distractions. Hope that makes sense.

O wow, that's an even bigger improvement than I anticipated. Much more focused, much better. Glad it worked out.

Love the repost! Wonderful intimate image, with the mood of both the tools of man and nature decomposing together.

Excellent - very strong image Charlie. Even the original works for me as it certainly is captured and presented naturally. Nice job on the cloning too and had we not seen the original, I wouldn't have questioned the naturalness of this find anyway.
As far as qualifying for this gallery or not, I'm not the mod, but technically the guideline is that the "man" part of the image can't exceed 25%. Clearly I think there has been much more leeway here since all the strictness resides in the Landscape gallery...
Great image. I can see why this is your favorite. I have no "negative" comments.

Lon, you have a good sense of humor. I like that, big guy. Would you consider rust, nature?

To me, the main focus of the image is the leaf - so definitely "nature".
VERY interesting image - something most of us would not have seen.

Charlie: Had to check this out after reading your recent general discussion thread. I agree with Marsel regarding the designation of the main subject. Your repost is just superb and a very compelling image IMO. Good vision, good photography. >=))>

Very nice - a shot I'd take in an instant if I came upon it. It fits my long running theme of Entropy, with the rusty chain and the dead leaf. Great colors as well.
