Layers of Light

Another one from my last outing. I hiked over 900 inches to get to this spot with 176 pounds on my kankles. Thanks to Jeremy Cram's guide dog service for "marking" the spot for my tripod!

The foreground light seemed to change from your earlier image, and the layers work here. I like the contrast you added to Mount Hood for this image too.

Beautiful Rick, especially the pastels in the BG. I might crop just a tad off the bottom, but that's very minor. Too bad you didn't go a little further - at 910 inches it can be declared a full expedition.

Beautiful shot, Rick. Great subject, wonderful light and beautiful colors. I kind of like Bill's crop suggestion with just a little off the bottom, and yes, that is pretty minor. Like this alot!
Jeremy's guide dog picked a good spot!

900 inches  Remind me never to go hiking with you. :frown: I don't care if there is a scene like this at the end of it. 200 inches is about my limit and I always seem to find some good to shoot in about that range. What's a kankle

I prefer the in your face flowers of the first shot, but this is nice too.

Personally I think I like this one more than your previous post. The foreground light brings the scene to life for me, wonderful image.

Beautiful, Rick! I have no suggestions for ways to improve this image.
