Little owl

This is from this morning, the Little owl had just come back after hunting, he is far more confident/tolerant, the female is less so and tolerates my presence rarely, dashing back into the nest, anyway...

For the first time this is processed off-site, so the colours, exposure, etc may not be spot on.

Steve
Subject: Little owl just outside nest (Athene noctua)
Location: UK
Camera: Canon MKIV
Lens: 500f/4 plus 2x MKIII - beanbag
Exposure: 1/125s at f/8 ISO800 0 stop compensation
Crop: 70% of original, approx 30% crop for presentation (original capture vertical)

Steve, I like the sweet pose and the habitat included. The diagonal lines of the tree are nice. I might warm up the tones if it were mine.

Steve, I particularly like the detail in the face in the larger version and the colors and exposure look fine to my eye.

Very nice comp on this Steve! I like how the owl is framed between the logs. Excellent techs as usual! I would leave it as is if it were mine.

He looks rather cute tucked in between the branches. Very natural looking colors and good detail on the feathers. Expert composition! :toast:
