San Diego, CA

Some amazing images here as of late....this one won't enter into that category, but I felt the need to post.

Shot this the same evening as my last post. The surf spot nearby is sometimes called Garbage...I'll let you figure out why. Not sure this works, but it was fun to process another image. Guess I am starved for images....can't wait till fall.

I don't think this is "Garbage' at all Jimmy...in fact I like it a lot.

Great leading lines creating depth, and I like that bank of cumulo-stratus clouds illuminated by the sunset on top. Cool and different image!

I'm really digging the lines in the foreground, you seriously find some of the most interesting seascape foregrounds. The sky is cool too, I like the multiple layers/dimensions of clouds. Good work. :toast:

Perfect composition with lots of foreground interest. Masterly crafted image and you've kept the colours lookin' natural!

Jimmy,

I may have to move this. So far I've spotted a bic lighter, torn piece of a mylar balloon and a small cup from Starbucks - looks like a mocha lite. Ok, so not really... but I know what you mean by ocean garbage. Honestly though, I don't get that impression at all.

I like the hints of reds in that "garbage" as it compliments the scene and colors very well. Comp is excellent and the sky, well can't ask for much more. Personally, I might be inclined to brighten this up a bit. But not a big deal. Very nice coastal sunset. Nice to see you posting too! Hope all is well.

Very nicely composed Jimmy. I'm assuming this is sea grass or something similar, but I love the varied colors and textures of it. I hope you also took some abstract close ups of the grass. All in all, a very pleasing image.

Your usual excellent comp and I like the contrast in texture and color the "seaweed/kelp?" provides. And the sky just leads me on to infinity.

Well I quite like it. A lot of beach material over cracked toffee rock leading out to a very pleasant and natural looking sunset sky. Actually quite like it isn't strong enough I think it's an excellent shot.

It's real nice comp, Jimmy. Certainly amazing enough. I like the first version best.

Your composition is masterful, the shape of the rocks leading to the light. Beautiful!
