Wind Swept + Repost

Wind on the dunes at Inverness Beach. The wind here is relentless in forming this beach as each hour passes. Uncovering a sea of pebbles only to cover them again, bending the grass, creating a lather of sea foam. I love to see those changes from day to day.... hour to hour. The sound this wind creates is also unforgettable.

Thanks for having a look. Appreciate hearing what you think. This is an oldie from 2007.

I was there a couple of weeks ago and didn't explore enough to see this nice scene. Can feel the wind and can see why you love this beach so much. Nice composition and handing of the lighting.

A gentle landscape very well presented. I like the softness of the windblown grasses. I might take down the sky a bit to remove the whiter top edge.

Very nice foreground, but the sky is kind of drab.

Love the flow of the grasses, Eva. The reds are also very nice in combo with the reflected sky in the water. I agree the sky is a bit bright.

This gives a nice sense of being there, Eva. I feel the effect of the wind, and I like the comp with the sand and grass close enough to feel the textures.

Eva, the repose works fine to me. I like the calm mood and the movement of the grasses. I can almost see from the picture that you were standing there feeling the breeze.

This is very nice Eva. You really can feel the sea wind sweeping through the grasses. The composition works well with that terrain and the exposure is perfect for that breeze. I agree that the repost is even a little better.

Very nice scene and I really like the blowing grasses, as well as the detail in the large version. It looks like you lost some contrast in the repost, though.

The overcast lighting really brings out all the details and puts me right there. Beautiful scene.

Love the motion in the grass, Eva, and the wonderful textures in the sand. Really like your composition with the dominant foreground. Your second post nails it in my opinion, including the slightly lighter tone overall. Nicely done.

The cropped version makes it a perfect day at the beach. Very beautiful image, the light is so appealing and the motion of the grass makes it come alive. Nicely done.

Wonderful shot Eva. I think the motion in the grass worked great and gives this a very nice feel. I like the crop of the repost but prefer the darker look in the first one. Really nice work!
