Giant Swallowtail (w/larger post below)

Unlike the tiger swallowtail, this butterfly flutters its wings constantly so I was pleased to find several shots in reasonably sharp focus. I can't remember seeing these in my yard before this year. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens.

Comments please.

Looks good, nice and sharp at first sight, but a larger upload would be easier for adequate commenting.

I'm posting a large size image in order for viewers to be able to comment on sharpness.

Good natural color and a different pose of the BF kicks this photo up a notch! Love the DOF and comp as well. :toast: Larger image??

The comp and sharpness are great. Good job with this lens. Seems I have had trouble getting sharp images with mine. Or I suppose it could be just me or Im not using a fast enough shutter speed.
