Mount Bromo Dunes

I'm back from 5 weeks in Southeast Asia, and have a few new images to share. I was able to explore the dunes area of Mount Bromo this time around. There has been a series of eruptions since November of last year that have left all kinds of cool ash formations.

On this particular evening, I didn't have any time to search for compositions, but just happened to get lucky enough to pull off in a nice area and walk right up to this scene...

Thanks for any comments or critique

Beautiful leading lines and textures in the sand, a cool eruption and a good sunset—who could ask for more?

The cool sand patterns are nicely integrated into the rest of the scene. The clouds and ?ash catching the sweet light look great.

This is an ash-scape? Fascinating. Must be great for abstract photos. I like what you captured here.

Very otherworldly. A unique scene for sure. I like the colors in the sky contrasting with the neutrals of the ash. And excellent comp as well.
