Red Grouse

Red Grouse on the Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders. The heather moorlands hear are simply stunning with the heather in pristine condition.

The picture show the huge feet that these birds have which are rarely seen. The Latin name for the red grouse is Lagopus lagopus scoticus. Lagopus meaning hairy legs, they certainly got that right.

Those feet are amazing. A nice image Ron and I do like the heather in the background. I think I'd be tempted to take a slither off the left hand side, or add a bit more on the right if you have it.

One of your best Ron. Agree needs a little arrangement by gentle cropping.

Some great colour in this one Ron and a dynamic pose from the grouse. I don't think I would be cropping anything from this shot.

Comp looks ok to me Ron, but would consider toning down the colours a wee bit. Love the heathers in the background.

Can't beat heather for a fore or back ground! Wonderful.
