Hi Sindy, This is really very nice and well composed. I like the flowers which I am not familiar with and the colors and OOF BG help compliment the blooms. My only very minor suggestion would be to try using a tripod next time. It may need a bit of sharpening to allow for handheld. Still a well composed and taken image.

I like the progression of flowers, showing the evolution of the blossom—the changing of colors, the opening of the blossom, etc. The BG is pleasing and complementary, allowing the subject to stand out. An interesting plant and a solid image. A tripod would help in maintaining sharpeness.

Very colorful. The BG color palette shines here. Parts of the main subject are a little soft, but I would attribute this to a very shallow DOF rather than being handheld as other areas do look sharp.

A cloud of colors, Sindy. Did you use a flash light?
Take care.

I love the color palette and the bg Sindy. I might like a touch more dof but understand the difficulty. Beautiful as posted.

Sindy:
I like the comp with the progression of buds in increasing size, changing color and sharpness. The bg palette is very nice. Wonderful image.

Hi Sindy. A very pretty B here, with some interesting blooms. I think a bit more sharpness up the stem would help.

Hi guys, well it was bloody windy, so there was not much I could do about that, should invest in a tripod though.
Never use flash outside, hate those things, for portraits in the studio- fine, apart from that I keep my hands of them ;(
Thanks for the comments,

Sindy: This actually looks OK to me from the standpoint of proper sharpness. I don't see any motion blur which would be the result of poor hand holding so I don't think a tripod would make much difference. Where you need to be a touch more precise (and this might be even easier HH) is in managing the plane of focus. If that was lined up properly with the stem I would guess this DOF would work fine. I do like the BG you got. Well seen and a very pleasing result.>=))>

Hi sindy beautifully seen and captured........ alluring color and fine detail. considering this was taken outdoors in the wind... for low light shots, a tripod is a must
