Sparrowhawk

I was observing the blue tits (in the previous post) feeding and this sparrowhawk flew down the hedgerow and came and sat on the fence directly in front of me, it sat about three meters away for a few seconds before leaving. But I managed to get a few shots off before it left. I have just missed the talon on its left foot, mainly due to panic thinking I was going to miss it.

I have spent a lot of time waiting to get images of the sparrowhawk, and this year I have managed it twice. But then luck smiles on you from time to time, its certainly frowned on me a few times as well.

Love to see hawks at eye level. Very nice background and sharp with good colors. If it were mine I would try darken that left leg -- but the pictures shows the bird well

Ron, love the look of this sparrowhawk. To biggest distraction for me is not the missing talons, but the overexposure of some of the whites (neck area and legs so no detail). It would help to see your techs to critique. If this were mine I would def bring the brightest parts of this image down to see if you can bring back any detail in those areas.

I agree. Nice bird. Whites blown on the leg and tail.
