Humming bird

Another photo from my encounters with hummingbirds. This one was trying to get to the feeder, but was chased off. Unfortunately the BG is a rust colored barn.

John, I have no problem with the BG, as long as the subject stands out well against it. Your technicals look good. The main body of the hummer is tack sharp and the wing motion is not objectionable, actually reinforcing the image of flight. I think the hummer is a little large in the frame, causing the bird to be more centered than it should be.

Great detail & color. The BG does seem a bit strange, but that gives some uniqueness to the image.

Wonderful, John! The beak and head seem very sharp to me.

Excellent John! This immediately becomes my favourite photo of yours; exceptional detail, body, head and beak perfectly frozen with just enough blur in the wings to create the impression of movement. Very well done my friend :^)

The background works nicely for me, it shows off the bird very nicely. Very well done.
