SP Plover Static Pose

A few weeks ago in the Macro Closeup gallery I posted a Tree Frog with a static pose. Thought I'd pose another such pose in Avian. Shot last Sunday on the beach in Gulfport. Needless to say a rather boring pose and I wish for a bit of a head turn, but I liked the light, the simple, natural surroundings and the detail. Shot a a fairly low setup in ankle deep water. Full frame. Larger image included.

I'm leaving for RMNP this Saturday in hopes of getting some fall color to post in Landscape, and touring around a location I've never visited. Will be back the following weekend. See y'all then.

Wonderful light, and the ripples and shadows in the sand make for an unusually interesting foreground and background for me.

Beautiful light and I love the mottled BG, you've already mentioned your wish for a better head turn, but other than that, it's a winner.
