Some gorgeous colors, nice light, and fantastic depth! Personally, i would have preferred a shorter exposure for the creek, but notwithstanding that, i really like this overall.

Marvelous color and light, Sandy. The comp is just as good, too. It seems to have a slight ccw tilt, but may just be an optical illusion from the banks of the river.

I love that hint of autumn - I can practically feel the crispness in the air! Very pretty catch Sandy.

This is a well thought out composition with lovely colors, I like the way the water guides the eye downstream

A lovely composition, Sandy. The tree colors help to liventhe tones and colors in the river. Very pretty.

Very nice, Sandy. In IE9 the greens look oversaturated, but calm down in Firefox. I agree about the slight tilt. Your choice of shutter speed works for me

Very nicely done, Sandy. As Vance just mentioned, the touch of blue in the water is a lovely accent that goes so well wth the color of the vegetation.

Sandy,

This is just a quiet and lovely autumn river scenic - beautiful. I really like the blue to yellow/green transition of color in the water. I also like the highlights in the bg woods and the color is wonderful.

No nits really, but I was just thinking that potentially you could burn down the water a little bit while adding a little contrast. that might help offset Stan's impression of the long exposure on the water. Tony's burn/dodge layer and luminosity painting is perfect for this.

A very pleasing scene with great detail and depth, Sandy. I'm not big on softened water and would have tried to get some more shutter speed, but that's a only a personal preference. You must have embedded your monitor profile because it does look much less saturated with Firefox as opposed to IE (IE ignores embedded profiles while Firefox uses them). The Firefox view is not as bright and colorful but definitely more natural.

Thanks for the comments - I use IE9 and the saturation here is exactly as it was in the lovely saturated greens of the PNW.
I know all monitors and programs "see" things differently - I can only make them look as natural as * I * see them and with MY equipment. This printed out perfectly.

Sandy,

Very nice image amazing how just a little difference in the vegetation, gives a sense of place. It feels like Oregon or Northern California, with the deep green. I think the image is level, strong diagonals that almost cross the image can give the illusion of tilt but a horizontal line like in the middle returns normalcy.
