Jagged-Edged Saddlebags Dragonfly, Tramea lacerata. I find this DF to be difficult to find perched. I see them flying around most warm days but seldom do they perch. This day about a week or so ago this one co-operated.

Fantastic detail you captured here Charlie! If this were mine I'd likely apply selective NR on the background.

Charlie,
I love the wings texture superbly captured and the perfect comp. Really, really nice. :toast:

Well done, Charlie. The detail is spot on and I also like the comp.

HI Charlie,

You captured some nice detail on the dragonfly and the background is anything but distracting! I agree with Ashley about how the background could benefit from a little noise reduction. To my eye the image is slightly over-exposed and could benefit from a global decrease in exposure (I'm guessing by about 1/2 stop).

Cheers...thanks for sharing this...

Ashley and Brad. Don't want you to think I'm ignoring your suggestions. I've spent a little time on selective sharpness and reducing exposure a bit. Nothing I have done seems to me to be much improvement. I'll likely give it some more time and if I come up with anything that I think is an improvement I'll post it.
