An alpine pond maybe 50 miles South of Delta Junction, Alaska. Part of the Wrangell range was a long way off in the background but unusually clear so I hiked down to the pond, set up the tripod and shot 10 vertical photos for this panorama.

It's severely compressed, even at the large size due to the panoramic format so please look at the large version.

Here is a crop out of the upper middle of the pano (not a 100% crop) to show how much information is lost when it's shrunk to 1200 pixels or less.

Love the color contrast between the water and the grasses and great job with the pano. It looks lilke some of the trees have gone a bit black, you might want to open up the shadows in some spots.

The panorama view was definitely a perfect composition. Loved the reflections and perfect light in what it seems to be the hard light if midday. Excellent!

Gary - this is such a beautiful fall scene and I really like this. I would like to see a little more room at the top - even if it is only filled with blue sky.
