Peaceful Morning

A peaceful early autumn morning on Sweetwater Lake several years back(Talladega National Forest - NE Alabama). I was fortunate enough to have cool temps, nice fog, and no wind. I was also slowly sinking into the very soft ground at waters edge!

Double processed and manually blended for dynamic range.

That is a beautiful scene Bill. Great light and wonderful mood. The reflection and fog are really nice. I like the early fall look and feel you caught here. It is a very peaceful scene and one I enjoy very much. Excellent comp too. Nice work!

The photo certainly does convey the sense of peace you must have felt that morning. It is a joy to look at. That early light in the trees is very intriguing.

This is a wonderful consistent composition to me, Bill. Excellent processing to my eye, I especially enjoy the natural colors. Your image makes me feel like standing in the middle of the scene.

Lovely soothing shot! This is gorgeous. I'm impressed that you choose to shoot without filters. You manage to capture a lot of DR without them. I love the quiet feeling here, and the mist such a nice element to the scene. Food for my soul!

A very pleasing scene with perfectly natural colors, Bill. As usual, your composition is right on the money and the details are crisp. The large version has much more presence (it puts you right their on the edge of the lake).

You just amaze me sometimes, Bill. Fantastic scene. Clear blue sky . . . and it works perfectly here. And the touch of light on the trees is well controlled and very effect at creating a visual focus. Very nicely done!
