Thanks for the comments on my last image. With the forecast being for clear skies overnight and this morning, I decided to try Richmond Park this morning. What a morning! The light was stunning, and the ground was carpeted in a thick layer of mist. I positioned myself so that the sun would rise in front of me, and when it rose it shone through the mist, producing lovely golden mist.

Techs:
Nikon D300s
Nikon 200-400mm
Handheld
F5.6
1/1600s
ISO 640

Superb Oscar! I love the graphic feel of this image, your though out positioning really paid off! Only small thing I might be tempted to do is remove the dark spots (I'm guessing silhouted brush), they draw my eye away ever so slightly and I think you image would be even stronger without it graphically. Lovely image! :toast:

Wow! This is absolutely beautiful. That golden mist...that's gorgeous! And the silhouette...
The only nit is the small spots in the very upper foreground...
Stunning image!

Incredible light and color. Agree about removing some of the dark spots on the bottom.

Fantastic light and mood here Oscar!! :toast:
I would crop slightly from the bottom to remove the dark blotches, and also darken the stag (adding blacks to black and neutral channels) or increasing local contrast on him to make him "pop" a bit more.

Realy nice image with beautiful colors and good composition. I'd either crop the bottom to eliminate the darker areas - or clone them so they are harmonious with the rest of the bottom of the frame.

Hi Oscar, I really like your thoughts on creating this image. It really adds a lot of emotion to the Deer. I agree about the dark spots on the bottom.
