American Kestrel

Hello everyone. The other day while driving around a park I spotted this kestrel. In the past I have had real bad luck getting close, so I drove up to it expecting for it fly away. This one was braver than the rest and stayed put. Took a couple of shots and I left it alone. Im not to happy about the perch but one day I'll get one on a natural perch.
C&C welcomed and encouraged.

I love these guys too they ar soo sweet looking. Nice look at him I can almost feel him trying to balance on the wire.

I find them very skittish too, so the barbed wire perch is a minor issue at best for me. The focus and detail look really good, and the background is fantastic. It seems to match the color scheme of the Kestrel. My only suggestion would be to burn some the bright areas on his head and chest. I think that would enhance the colors too. Overall wonderful shot.

that perch is a hundred percent better than all of my telephone/hydro wire perches above the head shots. I would be really pleased to have this one in my collection. Great image and comp with fantastic detail. Good one!
