Chaos and Light II

I found this rather chaotic autumn scene in the Danube Floodplains on the outskirts of Vienna last week. There I experienced a specific atmosphere of decay, together with the brightness of the autumn leaves and tranquillity all around.

Peter, the scene is very chaotic, I applaud you for taking on the challenge in finding a composition. I think that you have done quite well as there does seem to be a flow to the picture. I would like to see the whole scene a little brighter, perhaps a toch more contrast?

You are very good at these, Peter. I like the colors and nice reflection too.

Hi Peter,

Busy yet visually stimulating. I think I am coming to appreciate complex scenes like this more + more. I could see a slight crop off the top to eliminate the portions of sky shining through the trees.

The high symmetry due to the reflection brings sufficient order into this scene. The light is lovely too. I love the atmosphere in this park during autumn. I will probably check it out this weekend.

It is pretty busy but the appeal of the light and colors is undeniable

I can imagine the work it might have taken to come up with as clean a comp as you made here. There is a lot going on in the frame, and it takes a minute for the eyes to flow through it, but I like it. Nice colors and dappled light there too.
