Golden Eagle

A couple weeks ago I found a pair of Golden Eagles that had killed a duck and was eating it on the river bank. While one eagle ate, the other would patiently wait in a nearby tree. But, luckily on a couple occasions the waiting eagle would buzz it's partner, hoping for another turn at the meal.

Canon MKIV, 600mm, 1/800 @ f5.6, ISO 800, manual spot meter reading off green vegatation. Slighly cropped all around.

I appreciate all your comments and suggestions.

Great capture Ken, you did well here focusing on the head. A bit less space on top and a bit more on the bottom perhaps? :toast:

Nice action. Composition is fine for me. Slightly more exposure might have helped but not a big issue for me.

This looks pretty awesome to me Ken, it's the first time I've seen an image of a Golden Eagle calling while it's landing and the snow adds a lot. The comp is fine, with the top wing close to the top of the frame. You could try just a touch of shadow adjustment to try and lift the underwings but the exposure looks natural to me with the top side well exposed and the underside dark. Congrats on this one. :toast:

Wonderful image Ken. Love the angled wings and calling pose, very dynamic presentation. Wouldn't change anything personally. :toast:

Nice catch, Ken. I guess there isn't any more for me to add so I'll "ditto" the others :wavey:

Love the eagle flying right at you. The open beak is great.

Very nice capture, Ken. Love the details in the talons and the extended primaries. I wonder if you could tease some more detail out on the chest?

Wonderful shot Ken, the wing span, open beak and falling snow make for a excellent shot, way to go.
