Took this one a few weeks ago in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Comments appreciated.
Would like to know if it works that the stamen is between the petals.

It works for me, Sindy. I like the overall composition and especially the contrast between the bright colour and sharpness in some of the anthers and the softness and blur of the petals against the dark green bg. Good vision.

I like this very much Sindy, particularly all the triangles in the composition. However, the color complements are also very effective.

Wonderful composition with the peek-a-boo with the anthers. Well seen, captured and shown in my opinion.

Sindy: If this was mine I would crop some from the right to get rid of most of the stem so that the petals fill more of the frame. The placement of the stamen is inspired IMO. >=))>

I think the stamen between the petals works very well. I especially like the composition where there is a green "arrow" pointing down from the corner due to the separation in the bg petals. The light green glow inside the base of the flower balances the composition very well. I may burn down the bright white reflection in the lower center petal so the center of the flower is the brightest area.

Nice shot. I like the composition a lot. I only wish there was more of the stamen in focus......purely subjective of course....it's your interp. :toast:
