Breath of Autumn

I was amazed at the early signs of fall today, just lying there all over the lawn. I then noticed what is the last colorful sign of summer in a string of 7 clematis flowers. So it only made sense to me that canceling the afternoon chores was a good idea and arranging the summers clematis blooms and autumns early leaves on the garage floor for a photoshoot a good use of time.
This is an 8 image stack as mentioned on the floor with a small amount of indirect light, supported by my canon speedlite at 1/64th power and using a 1/8th honeycomb filter over it.

canon 7D
canon 100mm macro f2.0L manual focus via live view, Stackshot Rail taking 8 images (not all that much depth but I wanted the images to stack well with minimal DOF setting.

Very wise decision re chores. They can always wait but fleeting moments in nature are just that. Excellent arrangement. Doesn't look like any garage floor that I've seen! More like a forest floor. Well done Craig.

Wow, what a color feast for the eyes! Wonderful job of arranging a nice comp for this. That was much more fun than the chores, I'm sure.

Very nice colors and details on those clematis Graig. I like the arrangement of the blooms too. The fall leaves are great for contrast.

Beautiful arrangement. I really like the "gentle" color palette that the touches of green pull together.

This image definitely showcases the seasonal transition well. I like the variety of color in the image as well. The composition is a little busy but is still quite pleasing.

Pure art. What a glorious compliment with the greens of the leaves and the purple clematis.

Beautiful shot! Glad to catch this on WP...well deserved! Like the green and darks which steer it away from red purple alliance.
