"Yellow Fall"

This was made this past Saturday in the Tremont area of GSMNP. I liked the way that the dark limbs seem to run throught the yellow leaves. Does this work for any of you. Any suggestions on either comp or processing.
Please view large file. I had to use a high comperssion rate on this one.

Bruce,

Absolutely works for me! Right up my alley too. I love these kinds of images. The branches work very well to anchor this image of autumn color. Not sure how I feel about the empty area in the UR, but it certainly doesn't degrade the image for me. Cropping from the left to make square takes away the "v" inthe main trunk line so I'm not sure that's an answer. Regardless, well seen and photographed. Great color and saturation looks spot on. I like this very much.

Hi Bruce, Works for me too! I just looked at the large version of this and think it looks fantastic! I agree with Lon that the empty spot in upper right might not be ideal, but yet it still looks wonderful. I love the natural looking color and feel with this. Nice detail too.

The lines of the dark trunks add structure to this and I think it works well. The color is excellent as well.

I like the red behind the yellow, and the thin limb helps anchor the image.

Bruce, this is simple and effective. It works, but the upper right corner seems a little bit out of context for me because it lacks the beautiful yellow found in the rest of the frame. You could brighten that area just a bit and see how it works.

Love it!! Absolutely beautiful Bruce, with a lovely composition. I really like how the BG peeks through in places too.

Thanks for the comments. So far most of you have mentioned one of the two concerns that I had. The first, the gap in the UR. The second was the fallen brown leaves that have landed on this limb. I was not sure if anyone would be bothered by those or not.

I haven't seen too many fall images like this. I really like it. There's
just enough exposure of the black limbs to really add punch to thi,
plus the red leafed BG adds a touch of color variety. Well seen and
composed, Bruce.
