Swamp Sparrow
by Sharon Hallowell
This one's from Bombay Hook yesterday. The weather was supposed to be nicer than it actually was...a stiff, cold breeze and the low flat light made for some tough photography. The fall foliage, however, was at it's peak. I had hoped for some fall images. and am pretty happy with this one, although I wish that one bright stem below the bird wasn't there. I did try to bring down it's brightness, but in the end decided I liked it best as it was.
50D, 500mm, ISO 200, 1/50, F4 I know I should up the ISO to help get a faster SS, but am just not happy with the amount of noise I get sometimes with it higher. Thanks for your comments. Please see LARGER version if you can.

14 commentsGreat pose and environment. The red leaves and various grasses are very complimentary - a wonderful "feel" to this shot.
