Icy Fall, Part 2

Another ice and aspen leaf scene I stumbled on while on my Colorado trip last month. Originally, I didn't find this shot to be up to snuff with the first ice shot I posted a few weeks ago, but it's grown on me since then.

While not the grand scene many think of when Colorado and autumn are paired up, I have kind of gravitated towards these types of mini landscapes...leafscapes perhaps. The cold weather was a definite bonus in terms of adding some early morning frost and ice.

Canon 1Dm3, 90mm TS-E. Two shot stitch.

Jimmy, this is a great abstract with stunning colors and details for me. I especially like the way you show the texture of the leaf.

The ice feathers on the leaf make this one stand out to me. I also like the contrasting color of the gold aspen and the blue ice. By the way, I enjoy the trips you posted in your gallery from your recent fall trip. Excellent and inspiring work, Jimmy. :toast:

The blue yellow contrast and the textures of the ice makes this a winner in my book. Your first-line images must be awfully good.

Hey man, these three leaf images are all really nice. The oil slick is very cool. "Fall Lines" is pretty sweet too. Sorry for the group comment, but I've been away for awhile.

Jimmy,,,,,I always like your intimate landscape images but this is over the top. The icy feathers on the leaf edge and dreamy blue bg take this to another level, :toast: :toast: :toast:

Wonderful Jimmy! One of the best small photos I have seen in a while. The blue/yellow counterpoint is brilliant and the textures and patterns are brain candy.

Quite remarkable! The snowflakes (crystals?) on the ice really make this work well for me.

Stunning Jimmy. The detail is remarkable and I love how you managed the whites of the frost with excellent luminosity. Fantastic work. The large image is of course a must see.
