The trees along the edges are always the first to change. The interior hardwoods are lagging behind.

I love the swamps in S LA....
The trees are much more impressive that I remember them.
We have a son that played for the Saints for a few years, so we got down there a lot...
I wish I had shot more when I was there.
Great scene, capture and processing
I like it... :toast:

David, I lived in southern LA for four years and I really appreciate your images. This looks more like a fine art painting. The colors and comp. are great.

Beautiful capture. Quite amazing effect with the mirror effect of the trees. Not a scne that can seen here in Sweden. Lovely ! :toast:

David, another magical scene on par with all of the excellent cypress scenes you capture. What I like about this one is the lack of water at the base. :toast: :toast:

Terrific comp, and love the variety of colors. Your signature processing on these really makes this one sing :toast:

Dang it! I love your killer images from here. The trees are just amazing to view and probably even more in person. You always do a great job presenting them to the viewer and this is no exception. The color range here is wonderful. Keep 'em coming. :toast:

Sweet! The detail is fantastic, nice balance too. I'm a bit ambivalent about the processing--it does make it look like a 'painting' and that has both positive and negative connotations to me. I think maybe the only thing that slightly bugs me is the highlites on the trunks, the dodging or whatever seems a bit heavy. But im being super picky cause clearly you do the subject justice! :wavey:

Fantastic, David. The graceful long lines of the tree trunks set against the pastel autumn colors make this an exquisite image. Love the delicate detail that you achieve.

Gorgeous! I love how the gray stands out, even with the colorful cypress leaves. The epitome of "old south" imagery.
