Primordial sea

I reworked this image shot back in February. It is a two-image blend, but I was intrigued by the patterns of swirling water around the rocks...made me think of creatures first emerging from an ancient ocean.

Nikon D200, 12-24 mm
ISO 100 for both
f16 @ 1.25 sec for the water
f16 @ 1/3 sec for the sky
LR3.1 and PS5

Fascinating fg. The rocks and water could probably stand alone for some really killer compositions. the light on the bg water is nice and the colors in the clouds add another layer. I lots of fine elements in this image.

I'm really liking this one. It does have a certain primordial mood. Nice effort!

The twisted shapes in the fg rocks do give this an ancient feel. I'll bet this would be a great place for playing with more abstract compositions.

The FG rocks are quite interesting and really add to this image. A nice shot.
