My Dad passed away 3 weeks ago after a long illness and I just haven't been inspired to shoot for a while.
Finally got out and shot some scapes the last couple weeks.
New Mexico and Texas hill country. Once I got going I realized how much I'd missed it:)

Near Hunt TX at sundown
SD15 70 prime f10 iso 50 25sec
95% of frame
Best color I've seen on the Guadalupe in years

My condolences to you Barry!

I like this - I find these cypresses to be really fascinating as subject for photography, though I have never had the opportunity do so. I particularly like the brigher parts at the base of the trunks. This gives quite a nice contrast.

I really like this composition Barry. Nice texture in the trunks and good color/light on the leaves. I like the 25 second effect on the reflections.
