This is an older film image that, coincidently, I just processed for another upcoming project. So, I thought I post it for the WC. Raindrops on Virginia Bluebells leaf, Fellows Riverside Gardens, Youngstown, Nikonf3HP, 105 micro, velvia. Larger image included.

I love the reflection! Takes the image to the next level. Well done. I don't go into the Flora or Macro galleries very often so I haven't seen much of your work but I just took a look at your gallery - lot's of nice work there, Scott.

Great image, Scott. It's simple but stunning. Like the clarity of the water drops and that starburst is just wonderful.

Scott, The water drops look like jewels. How did you create the starburst? Thanks,

Carol

Carol, the starburst is a 100% natural reflection of the morning sun in the waterdrop. It has not been enhanced in any way from the original transparency, although the image was cropped about 50% to put more emphasis on the drops (i.e., make them relatively larger). It's simply a matter of light and angles.

That sunburst is terrific. I also like the way you got that row of drops all sharply focused.

Scott, those raindrops are almost perfecty round! So cool that you captured this. I like the sunstar in the drop too.

Can't say I'm crazy about the star, but I really like the hot spot and shadow on the lee side of each drop.

A nice simple composition. The star burst is a nice touch.

This shot would be gorgeous without the sun star. With it, the shot is extraordinary. Beautifully captured!
